Accessibility
How we approach accessibility across the website and how to report a barrier.
Overview
[Company name] (trading as CelebrityLink; "Celebrity Link", "we", "us") wants everyone to be able to use celeblink.com. This page explains how the website is built to be accessible, what we know still needs work and how to tell us about a barrier.
We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we build the website so that you can:
- Navigate it with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on every control.
- Read it with a screen reader, with headings, landmarks and labels that describe the page.
- Zoom in to 400% and resize text without losing content or function.
- Use it with reduced motion: animations stop when your device asks for it.
- Read text with enough contrast against its background.
What we have done
- Every page has one main heading, a logical heading order and named regions for the header, the navigation, the content and the footer.
- Menus, disclosures, accordions and forms work from the keyboard and announce their state to assistive technology.
- Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described next to the field and announced when you submit.
- Images that carry information have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- The layout adapts from small phones to large screens without horizontal scrolling.
- Automated accessibility checks run on every page whenever the website changes, alongside keyboard checks by hand.
What we know about
- Content from other services, such as the map on the contact page and posts embedded from Instagram, is controlled by those services and may not meet the same standard.
- Documents we share as PDF, such as campaign proposals, may not be fully accessible. Ask us for the content in another format.
- Some images and passages are being completed before launch and may show placeholder text until then.
How we test
- Automated checks against WCAG 2.2 AA run on every page whenever the website changes.
- New pages are checked by hand with a keyboard, with the browser zoomed and with reduced motion on.
- Barriers reported to us are logged, prioritised by their effect and fixed in the next release where we can.
- This page is reviewed when the website changes materially, and at least once a year.
Report a barrier
If something on the website is hard to use, or you need information in another format, tell us at help@celeblink.com or through the contact page. Say which page you were on, what happened and, if you use one, which assistive technology you use. We will reply and tell you what we plan to do.
If you are not happy with our response, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) can advise you on your rights under the Equality Act 2010: equalityadvisoryservice.com.
